The Freedom Run will be Held on:

saturday, JULY 4, 2026

The Freedom Run will have added meaning this year as we celebrate 250 years of the United States (1776–2026)

In honor of this milestone, participation will be limited to just 776 runners, so early registration is strongly encouraged.

Registration pricing is as follows:

• April 14-April 30 = $45

• May 1–May 31 = $50

• June 1–June 26 = $55

• June 27–July 2 = $75
  

• There will be no race day registration

This beautiful downhill 15K (9.3 mile) race is a great way to celebrate Independence Day and earn your potato salad! Race begins at 6:45 am at the Hyrum Hydro Park up Blacksmith Fork Canyon.

Packet Pick-Up

• 6:00 and 6:20 AM  

Race Day

• The Freedom Run will begin promptly at 6:45 AM at the Hyrum Hydro Electric Plant in Blacksmith Fork Canyon (UT Highway 101)

• Make sure and arrive early - no later than 6:15  

Parking

• Limited parking at AJ Peterson Park, just above the starting line

• Runners please try to carpool or get dropped off at the start

• We have a great running community and if you need ride to the starting line or a ride back to the starting line to get your vehicle…just ask a fellow runner

Aid Stations

• Aid stations at mile 4 and 7 with water and Gatorade

• Finish line aid station will have water, Gatorade, fruit, and bread  

• We do not provide a bag drop or bring clothing from the start to the finish line

• Award ceremony and prize give-away begins at 8:15 at the finish line (Hyrum City Square)
